By establishing the Not for Profit "Sacred Sites Foundation" Dean has put in place a strong base for the future preservation of these sites for all humanity.
He is a South African, Cape Town based independent Archeo Astronomer / Researcher / Author/Geomancer. Dean is passionate about these ancient sites and has spent more than 20 years researching all over the Southern Tip of Africa.  Joining him soon are a host of academic Patrons, who will support this Foundation over the long term with the enormous task ahead.  The current 5 Year Project time frame is 2013 to 2017, for which funding proposals are currently being lodged, if you would like to assist Dean with these please make contact directly with him through This email address is being protected from spambots. Should you have any concerns about Sacred Sites in your area, or those Sacred Sites you feel should be included on our mapping system, please contact us with the basic location and information of the site in question.
"The scale and magnitude of the South African profiles, observatories and Markerstones covering an area over 800 kilometres long is monumental in proportion and defies explanation.  Much work remains to be done to document all the known sites, many of which lie on privately owned land and are inaccessible to the public.  This Mapping of the Southern African Sacred Sites is the primary objective of the Sacred Sites Foundation of Southern Africa, along with developing a strong network of Community Custodianship projects around the country."
Meet the Cape Town "Sunpath" Team: they are a unique group of individuals that were drawn to interact with the Sacred Sites Foundation of Southern Africa.  Each member has their own interest in the sacred sites and each brings their own special gift.  Together as a team they currently offer people the opportunity to join them on walks and ceremonies at the Sacred Sites of Table Mountain and South Africa.
